Bath’s Kingsmead Square will see the return of the annual Festive Street Food Market this year, from Thursday 28th November, running alongside the Bath Christmas Market.
The Kingsmead Square Street Food Market will transform the area into a street food wonderland showcasing the South West’s best traders.
Visitors can expect globally-inspired cuisine created using the best seasonal and regional produce; from mountain-style mac and cheese to vegan chilli dogs, Persian chicken and tofu tacos.
Sophie Bowden Events, which helped to co-ordinate the original Kingsmead Square Festive Street Food Market in 2017, is organising the event alongside Bristol-based Buoy Events.
Sophie Bowden said: “Having run the event in its first year in 2017 I’m delighted to be back in Bath bringing what I consider to be some of the best street food available in the South West to Kingsmead Square this Christmas.
“I am also thrilled to be collaborating with Buoy Events on delivering the event as I know our joint experience of running outdoor events and our passion for delicious street food will be a winning combination.”
Patrick Holden from Buoy Events added: “Bath is a special place at Christmas, and it’s a real privilege to be coming to Kingsmead Square and working with Sophie Bowden Events for the first time.
“We can’t wait to bring some of the best street food flavours in the South West, with a decent dose of live music and something mulled on the side.”
Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property which inspired the first event, said: “As a business, HPH Commercial Property has always been passionate about improving the vitality of Kingsmead Square.
“The Festive Street Food Market brings thousands of people to the area and we have received lots of positive feedback from local traders, members of the public and tourists about it.
“We’re looking forward to the buzzing atmosphere and delicious food.”
The market will be open Thursday to Sunday, 28th November to 15th December, from 11-9pm (closing at 6pm on Sundays).
