After seventeen months without fans at Twerton Park for league football, Bath City FC will return to action this Saturday with a range of entertainment for visitors.

As well as being the first chance to see the rebuilt team, there will be plenty happening including a professional opera singer as well as freebies to welcome the fans back.

The day will start outside the ground with Charlie’s and an outside bar, along with an ice cream van for children.

On entry, everyone can pick up a free fixture card and the first 200 children will get a free footie clapper or mini-football.

Once inside, supporters will be entertained by local duo Jiggidy with a rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, before professional opera singer Anthony Flaum performs “Nessun Dorma”.

City General Manager Carole Banwell said, “We’re so excited to be back in action at Twerton Park this Saturday and can’t wait to welcome fans old and new to the game.

“We’ve always wanted to make this a special occasion and we’re pretty sure the pre-match singing off “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and then Anthony treating us to “Nessun Dorna” will have the hairs standing up on the backs of everyone’s necks.”

Bath City has signed a group of new players with Football League and Scottish Premier League experience for the new season, to complement a core of more familiar faces from the last few seasons. Together they’ve scored 23 goals in pre-season matches, promising plenty of entertainment at Twerton Park.
