Joanna Wales, event lead at the GetPRO Bath Half, told the Bath Echo: “Unfortunately, a contractor vehicle accidentally hit a pillar when exiting the east side of Royal Victoria Park, just south of Weston Road, this morning.
“We have made Bath & North East Somerset Council aware of the incident and will be working with them to ensure that the pillar is repaired as soon as possible.
“All contractors have been reminded to drive with care and consideration at all times.”
We have asked B&NES Council for a comment.
