Residents are being warned about emergency repairs planned for Widcombe Parade in Bath due to a damaged water supply pipe, with the road set to be closed for up to three days.
Wessex Water will be carrying out the work near the eastern end of the one-way street, which will be closed from the junction with the A36 Rossiter Road to the roundabout junction with the A3062 Prior Park Road and Widcombe Hill from 9am on Monday 27th February.
A Wessex Water spokesperson said: “A seal on one of the water supply pipes on Widcombe Parade is leaking, meaning an essential repair needs to be carried out.
“Unfortunately, we need to close the road to ensure the safety of our team and the public during the work, although we are maintaining pedestrian access as much as possible.
“Parking on Widcombe Parade will not be available during the work and we are asking vehicle users to find alternative parking during this time.
“A diversion route will be in place for through traffic and these emergency repairs will not affect customers’ water or sewerage services.
“We have written to residents and businesses in the area to inform them and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
“We expect the work to be finished by the end of Wednesday 1 March.”
