Diversion as B&NES Council carries out emergency drainage repairs

Traffic is being diverted while Bath & North East Somerset Council carries out emergency drainage repairs on part of the key route between Keynsham and the A37.

In the interests of public safety, an emergency road closure order came into force on Wednesday, 29th July, to allow the council to carry out works at Woollard Lane near Whitchurch Village.

The road is closed from the junction with Hursley Lane to the junction with Queen Charlton Lane.

Queen Charlton Lane is also closed at its junctions with Sleep Lane and Woollard Lane, with access permitted to residents on Queen Charlton Lane.

The diversion for drivers is via the A37, A4174, A4, A4175 Durley Hill and Bristol Road, Keynsham High Street, Charlton Road and Woollard Lane, and vice versa.

The closure is anticipated to be required for 10 days between 9am and 5pm.

While access is being maintained for residents and businesses where possible, delays are likely, says the council.
