Bath-based charity Designability, which helps disabled people live with greater independence, has been awarded second place in the inaugural ‘Best Charities to Work For 2020’ list.
Designability received the news while their team continue working from home.
The list, hosted by Third Sector, assessed what charity employers offered to their staff team and also included an employee engagement and satisfaction survey for staff to share their views on what it was like to work for the organisation.
The research, which was compiled before the current coronavirus pandemic, showed that organisations highly rated by staff encourage activities to create strong teams and foster good personal relationships.
Catharine Brown, Chief Executive of Designability, said: “I am so delighted that Designability has been voted second in the UK’s Best Charities to Work For 2020.
“As a small charity, we have very little budget to spend on staff development, compared to some of the larger charities who entered, and our success is a reflection of the amazing team here.
“We support each other, and our culture is one which is family-friendly and based on trust.”
“We give our all to help disabled people with their daily challenges and I could not be more proud to lead this fantastic team.”
