The nine-day event in May has attracted big names in the food and beverage industry as sponsors, including food delivery firm Deliveroo and Italian beer brand Birrificio Angelo Poretti.
The event, organised by Bath BID, will run from 3rd to 11th May 2025.
In addition, household name French baker and chef Richard Bertinet will be guest judging the Bath Waiters’ Race, taking place on 7th April on the Royal Crescent.
Bath Restaurant Week aims to give visitors and locals the opportunity to try the diverse range of cuisines, dishes and venues that the area has to offer.
Customers will be able to find offerings such as tasting menus, new dishes, signature cocktails, lunchtime opening hours or special offers.
The team at Bath BID has secured sponsorship from local and national partners.
These include Deliveroo, Birrificio Angelo Poretti, part of Carlsberg Britvic, law firm RWK Goodman, the Bath Echo, local venue Walcot House and The Wheatsheaf Combe Hay country pub.
Joe McKenna, Regional Manager of the South West and Wales at Deliveroo, said: “It is wonderful to be able to support an initiative that celebrates Bath’s vibrant food and drink culture.
“The city is packed full of exciting restaurants, bars, cafés and venues, as well as passionate hospitality professionals who deserve to be recognised. We can’t wait to see what’s on offer.”
To promote the event and raise money for industry charity Hospitality Action, Bath BID is organising a Waiters’ Race on Monday 7th April at 11am.
Inspired by the iconic Paris waiters’ race, the event will involve teams from local establishments racing in relays across Bath’s famous, and cobbled, Royal Crescent holding trays full of glasses of water.
Winners will be judged on both their speed and their technique.
Richard Bertinet has long been connected to Bath and has owned and managed the highly acclaimed Bertinet Kitchen Cookery School on St Andrews Terrace in the heart of the city for over 20 years.
Richard, who will be guest judging the Waiters’ Race, said: “Having been part of the amazing Bath food community for over two decades I have seen first-hand how much culinary talent, enthusiasm and passion that there is here.
“For a relatively small city there is a huge range of eating and drinking places on offer, as well as many stunning venues steeped in history. Being part of Bath Restaurant Week by judging the Waiters’ Race is a real honour and I’m looking forward to celebrating the teams behind the city’s establishments – allez l’equipe!”
Allison Herbert, CEO of Bath BID, commented: “As a city, Bath offers an extensive and diverse selection of incredible food, drink and event offerings.
“And inside every restaurant, café and bar, is a team of exceptionally hard-working individuals who are passionate about providing top-quality customer service and refreshment to both residents, and the six million yearly visitors to Bath.
“We have been eager to find a way to recognise and support hospitality businesses in the city and Alex Peters, Director at Bath Pizza Co and Green Park Brasserie, developed the idea of running a Bath-specific restaurant week in order to do so.
“We believe that Alex’s idea will be a great boost to local establishments – providing them with the resources and space to showcase their culinary and beverage expertise and to reach new customers. We can’t wait to see it come to life!”
