Council acts to tackle flooding issue on road at Shoscombe

Bath & North East Somerset Council has temporarily closed a road that floods near Peasedown St John.

Drainage improvement works to tackle flooding problems are taking place at Hang Hill at Shoscombe from today, Monday 1st June.

Hang Hill is closed from its junction with Gullen to the junction with Grays Hill for a maximum period of 12 months, although works are anticipated to only be for three weeks.

The council says the road will only be restricted when traffic signs are in position.

Traffic will be diverted via Wellow Road, High Street, Mill Lane, Hassage Hill, the lane from Hassage Hill to Faulkland, Quarry Lane, Knoll Lane, the A366, Grove Lane, Lippiat Hill, Faulkland Lane, Dairy Hill, Grays Hill, and vice versa.
