Funding of £1000 has been set aside in Peasedown St John near Bath to help the village’s community address their environmental needs.

Peasedown Community Trust’s Trustees
The Peasedown Community Trust recently carried out a village-wide survey, asking for households to share their thoughts on how the environment could be improved.
Ahead of the results being published, the trust set aside £1,000 in a new Environment Fund.
Community Trust Chairman, Gavin Heathcote, said: “The environment affects us all. All of us, irrespective of who we are or where we live, will be impacted by the environment around us.
“Transport, recycling, climate change, access to local services and amenities – all of these shape our day-to-day lives.
“We’re pleased to be setting aside a sum of money – £1,000 – this year to help address the village’s environmental needs.”
The funding will be spent on implementing some of the results of the survey, which over 450 people took part in.
Fellow Trustee and local councillor, Karen Walker, added: “Thank you to everyone who returned their surveys to us. In total, more than 450 people shared their views on issues that matter to them – from the environment to green energy, and from recycling to tree planting.
“This new £1,000 fund set aside by the Trust will ensure we can implement some positive changes to the environment this Autumn.”
The Peasedown Community Trust will publish a report on the Environment Survey’s findings in a few weeks’ time, with a further announcement in the autumn on how the £1,000 will be spent.
