Local families are being invited to take part in a weekend of fun and festive activities at the Roman Baths, Fashion Museum and Victoria Art Gallery on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th December.
Children can enjoy making trees decked with Roman coins, festive paper decorations, and embellished Christmas stockings, as well as looking around the three B&NES Council-run museums.
All of the activities are being provided free for local Discovery Card holders.
Families are being invited to just turn up, with no advance booking required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for children aged three and over.
Corinthian Christmas
Roman Baths – Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th December, 10am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4pm
Price: Included in admission, free for Discovery Card holders.
Design a tree using a typical Roman leaf design and decorate it with gold coins.
Paper Puddings
Victoria Art Gallery – Saturday 15th December, 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm
Price: Free
Create paper pudding decorations for Christmas using a range of art papers, and explore the Gallery’s On Paper exhibition.
Look out for the Christmas tree in the Gallery foyer, organised each year by the Friends of the Gallery, which will be decorated with 1,000 gold, silver and white origami birds by artist Yoko Miura.
