Children living in Peasedown St John are being invited to take part in Halloween events on Wednesday 31st October, organised by the village’s Residents’ Association.
The action-packed activities will include frantic fun, ghoulish games, and scary movies at St John’s Close Community Room.
Cllr Sarah Bevan (Independent, Peasedown), who has helped the association with its fundraising in recent years, said: “Halloween has been recognised as a festive event in the UK for decades.
“Children and young people are often encouraged to dress up, go out in the neighbourhood ‘trick or treating’, and join in with apple bobbing contests.
“It’s important that local children can have fun, but in a safe environment – which is why the Peasedown Residents’ Association is organising these events.”
The party follows on from the association’s successful parties in the past, and other events throughout the year to celebrate Christmas and Easter.
Events on Wednesday 31st October include:
- Halloween Face painting, 3.30pm – 5pm. £2 per child
- Halloween Party and Film Night, 6pm – 7.30pm. £1 per child.

Both events will take place at St John’s Close Community Hall, St John’s Close, next to Albert Avenue, BA2 8JE.
