This summer, local charity Julian House is challenging friends, families and colleagues to join their brand new event, the Big Summer Scavenger Hunt.

On any day between Saturday 24th July and Saturday 7th August, challengers will be out roaming across Bath and the surrounding countryside to hunt down secret riddles and possible prizes.

The new event has two trails to choose from. ‘Super Spies’ is a family adventure, a 2-mile route for children of all ages, pushchairs and wheelchair users.

The special ‘Code Breaker’ Trail is a 6-mile GPS Hunt for adults and older teenagers.

Challengers will explore stunning local countryside around Bath while hunting down the riddles to crack the code.

Event Organizer, Jessica Gay of Julian House, said: “It’s been an incredibly tough year for everyone, so our new event doesn’t charge a ticket fee.

“Instead, it is a fantastic chance to have fun and at the same time donate what you can to raise much needed funds to help support vulnerable men, women and children experiencing homelessness and escaping domestic.

“By enjoying a fun-filled day out, you can also help change lives. A perfect combination!”

The new event has been organised alongside Bathscape.

Lucy Bartlett, Bathscape’s Community Projects Officer, said: “We’re really pleased to partner with Julian House again. This event will raise funds for their crucial work, whilst encouraging people to actively enjoy the landscape, which is key to our work.

“Super Spies will see some heritage hotspots and parks, and the intrepid Code Breakers will explore the beautiful countryside within easy reach of the city centre.”

Everyone who cracks the code will be entered into a prize draw to win prizes, including an afternoon tea for four at Royal Crescent Hotel and admission into Bath’s new House of Frankenstein Museum.

You can sign up to take part in the epic summer challenge now. For more information, visit https://www.julianhouse.org.uk/support-us/events/big-summer-scavenger-hunt/.
