Residents from Care UK’s Rush Hill Mews, on Clarks Way, took a trip to the market to collect money for Bath Foodbank.
From ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’ to ‘Silent Night’, residents warmed up their vocals to deliver pitch-perfect singing for the community and raised £132.
Julia Leydon, a resident at Rush Hill Mews said: “It was truly wonderful, and I was very pleased with the amount raised – I felt so welcomed by the community!”
Caroline Carter, General Manager at Rush Hill Mews, said: “We had a fantastic time performing Christmas carols at the Bath Christmas markets as part of the Care to Share initiative.
“Christmas is always an exciting time at Rush Hills Mews, with residents sharing their favourite memories, traditions – and carols.
“Music is a wonderful way to bring people together and prompt conversations and connections with others, improving wellbeing and reducing loneliness.
“We want to thank everyone who joined us at the Bath Christmas markets for a festive sing-along – we hope to do it again next year!”
The event formed part of the care home’s Care to Share activity, an initiative which will see Care UK care homes across the UK help to spread festive cheer, support communities to come together and help to reduce loneliness in the community this Christmas.
