Stratton House in Park Lane, which is run by Methodist Homes for the Aged (MHA), was given a ‘Good’ rating following its latest inspection by the independent regulator of health and adult social care.
The home says it narrowly missed out on an ‘Outstanding’ rating, the highest of the four available.
Stephen Hill, the home’s manager, said: “I am very proud of the hard work and dedication everyone at the home has put in.
“We received an ‘Outstanding’ rating in one of the sub-categories which was caring, and that for me was very special.
“It’s the staff that run the home and their commitment has been recognised with the overall rating.
“The feedback from the inspectors in the report is mind-blowing and seeing the impact our work has on residents and their families is something that cannot be explained in words.
“We know what to expect from the next inspection and will do everything we can to get an ‘Outstanding’ rating, which is what we deserve.”
The home, which provides residential care for 33 residents, was sent a cake by another provider in Bath by way of congratulations.
