The charity is hoping its new corporate offering will inspire companies and their colleagues to get involved for a bit of friendly competition.

The sponsored walk, now in its 20th year, is set to take place on Sunday 26th September 2021.

It will see participants taking on an epic 20-mile circular route across some of Bath’s countryside, surrounding villages and views across the historic city itself.

Local businesses who sign up will be entered into the special head-to-head competition.

Each team will gain points based on different criteria including most fundraised, most miles walked/run, most participants taking part and best photo on the day as they vie for the title of ‘Walk Champions of Bath’.

ORX Association look part in the walk last year, Marketing & Communications Assistant Manager, Ashley Green said: “We would absolutely recommend taking part in the Circuit of Bath challenge to anyone who is considering doing so. It was a tough 20 miles, but the sun was shining and the sights were beautiful.

“We were amazed at the level of generous support from ORX, family, and friends, who all clearly see value in the work Julian House does for the community.”

Senior Community & Events Fundraiser, Jess Gay said: “The Circuit of Bath is a really important event for everyone involved. By taking part, you not only get an incredible sense of achievement after walking 20 miles over challenging terrain but also the knowledge that the sponsorship you raise will help to rebuild lives.

“The challenge is a fantastic opportunity for team building in a safe and fun environment. We are all bored of Zoom nowadays so we hope this challenge will provide our local businesses with something to look forward to.

“Companies will be given a tailored corporate fundraising pack bursting with ideas, helpful hints and tips on fundraising as well as acknowledgment of their support on our website and social media as well as bi-monthly leader board updates – as they all vie for that top spot!”

The charity is encouraging participants to sign up early to get their name on the leader board.

Jess continued: “We are very aware of the situation around COVID-19 and will continue to monitor and follow the advice being issued. The safety of the community, participants, staff and volunteers is and always will be our top priority.

“We would like to reassure anyone who purchases a ticket to the event that they will have the option of a refund if the event has to be cancelled due to COVID.”

Further details and tickets can be found online at www.circuitofbathwalk.co.uk.
