B&NES Council Leader Tim Warren and fellow councillor Bob Goodman visited the new Better Extreme trampoline park at Bath Sports and Leisure Centre to test out the centre’s newest facility.
The councillors were treated to a glimpse of the park’s array of features – including wipe out, dunk hoops and a trapeze – as well as a purpose-built dodgeball area.
Staff member Tom Matthews was also on hand to demonstrate his repertoire of flips and tricks on the trampolines.
Barnaby Rich, General Manager at Bath Sports and Leisure Centre said: “We are delighted to welcome visitors to the new Better Extreme trampoline park at Bath Sports and Leisure Centre.
“With a wide range of features, the park provides fun, affordable exercise for people of all ages and abilities – allowing more people to be more active, more often.”
The trampoline park is the latest completion in an £8 million refurbishment project – including a soft play area, bowling alley and diner, with the redevelopment of the centre’s main pool and leisure pool due for completion in the Spring.
The Leader of the Council, Tim Warren said: “As well as being great fun, the trampoline park is a terrific way of exercising while enjoying yourself. It certainly gets your heart rate going – especially when you see some of the tricks you can have a go at.
“This is a really positive development, marking the near completion of a major £8 million redevelopment. And it offers exciting opportunities for more people of all ages to get more active in their free time.”
