People in Batheaston, Bathampton and Bathford are being invited to take part in a climate and nature-based community conversation tomorrow, Tuesday 8th October.
The ‘Local Voices for People and Planet’ event is at Batheaston Village Hall and is the first of a series of conversations that the council will be hosting across Bath and North East Somerset.
At the event, people can share concerns, explore solutions, and learn about local initiatives, leading to meaningful action for the community and informing the council’s Climate & Nature Strategy 2025.
There will be discussions on five key topics – wildlife and nature, food, transport, waste and consumption, and energy and buildings.
There is an informal drop-in session from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. Then a guided discussion starting with an introductory talk will take place from 6pm to 8pm where the council will “dive deeper into the issues that matter most to you and your community”.
You can reserve a spot via the Eventbrite website.
Limited parking is available at the hall, but people are encouraged to walk, cycle or wheel where possible. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.
