Bath Rugby is set to host a new weekly virtual quiz for the local community, in partnership with two of their long-term partners, Bath Ales and Thatchers Cider.

The Swift Half Pub Quiz will take place live every Thursday at 5pm on Bath Rugby’s Facebook page.

With six rounds of questions based on a variety of themes, including sport, music and local links to the West Country, there will even be a bonus round for beer and cider fans each week.

Prizes, provided by Bath Ales and Thatchers Cider, will be on offer to the top scorers and those who answer quickest.

The prizes up for grabs are:

  • The overall winner will bag their team: two cases of Gem amber ale, the official beer of Bath Rugby, one case of Thatchers Gold and one case of Thatchers Haze.
  • Second place will win one case of Gem amber ale and one case of Thatchers Gold
  • There will also be four spot prize winners each week for the fastest player to answer the designated spot prize question.

Ben Wells, Chief Commercial Officer at Bath Rugby said: “In these disconnected times, the Swift Half Pub Quiz is the perfect opportunity for supporters, local communities, friends and family to “gather” together and have fun.

“Bath Ales and Thatchers Cider are a key part of our match day experience at the Rec and whilst the Swift Half may be temporarily closed, we’re pleased to jointly deliver this virtual quiz to entertain our supporters during this difficult time.”

Bath Rugby’s virtual pub quiz is free to enter, but participants must be over 18 to be eligible to claim prizes.

You can play along on your own or spread the word to challenge friends and family who don’t live in your household.

You can register to play, and view the terms and conditions, at www.bathrugby.com/community/pub-quiz – the quiz questions will also be live-streamed on Bath Rugby’s Facebook page.
