Legendary musicians including the late David Bowie will be celebrated in a 32 hour live broadcast weekend to raise funds for Bath Hospital Radio.

Supported by Minuteman Press, the weekend will kick off at 7am on Saturday 29th May with a tribute to Elvis Presley and will finish at 11pm the following day after an hour’s tribute to Elton John.
The special weekend of programmes is held annually with a different theme and is the station’s biggest fundraiser.
Run entirely by volunteers, Bath Hospital Radio broadcasts 24 hours a day to patients at the Royal United and Royal National Hospitals in Bath, and online at www.bathhospitalradio.org.uk.
Ten volunteer presenters are involved in the weekend fundraiser which will include programmes celebrating the music of jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald, Queen, Dame Shirley Bassey and The Beatles.
“Bath Hospital Radio is a charitable organisation which is independent of the NHS and relies on donations from listeners – it costs just over £10 a day to keep the station on air,” explained Ian Martin, chair of the radio station.
“We hope people will enjoy listening in to our tribute to some of the biggest names in music and will text a donation while our Legends weekend is on air,” added Ian.
To donate to Bath Hospital Radio’s Legends fundraiser, text HITS16 plus the amount (eg £10) to 70070.
