On Wednesday 15th March in Randall’s Bar at Twerton Park, Bath City are hosting a further screening of Ken Loach’s powerful Palme d’Or and recent BAFTA award winning film I, Daniel Blake.
Following the screening there will be a discussion that will offer the chance to share thoughts and experiences and to hear more about the making of the film led by Ken himself.
The earlier screening, run in December, proved very popular and triggered an invigorating and wide-ranging conversation amongst the attendees.
Funds raised of £1,400 from the sales of tickets to the event were split between the local charity of Time Bank Plus and to the fund to purchase AV and PA equipment for future community events to be held at the club.
The retiring collection on the evening raised just under £500. This event will be another opportunity for the local community to enjoy the film and be involved in the discussion.
The bar will be open serving refreshments and there will be a retiring collection again for the Genesis Trust Bath Food Banks on the night.
Tickets are priced as follow: Standard £2, Solidarity £10, Solidarity ‘Plus’ £20.
Solidarity and Solidarity ‘Plus’ tickets are available for those who feel able to support the provision of tickets at Standard prices for the whole community.
