Avonvale RFC under-13s are thirsty for success after receiving a donation of refillable water bottles from their new kit sponsor Wessex Water.

The youngsters look smart in their brand new kit and are sure to remain well hydrated for the rest of the season thanks to their new refillable water bottles.

Assistant coach Kevin Hall said: “Avonvale RFC is run completely by volunteers and without our strong volunteer base, along with generous donations from sponsors like Wessex Water, we would not be able to offer these sporting opportunities to young people.

“We wanted to develop and promote a more professional approach to our training and match days – the sponsorship from Wessex Water has helped us to achieve this.

“The new kit and water bottles have given the players a real boost and it’s fantastic to see the pride in their faces when they put on their new shirts.”

The water bottle donation is part of Wessex Water’s Hydrate Feel Great campaign, which promotes the health and cost benefits of drinking tap water opposed to other alternatives.

The campaign also aims to reduce the use of single-use plastics by encouraging people to use refillable bottles rather than buying bottled drinks.
