Nick Wilton, who plays Nanny Nora, and David Pendlebury, who plays the King, visited the group in their colourful costumes before returning to the theatre to perform in the matinee of Sleeping Beauty.

Nick Wilton, who plays Dame Nanny Nora in Bath’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty, said: “We had a lovely time with Age UK’s Social Group at St. Michael’s Day Centre.

“We enjoyed chatting with members and everyone joined in an impromptu sing-a-long, it was great fun.

“They’re such a friendly group of people, and always ready to welcome new members.”

Age UK’s popular Social Groups aim to improve the quality of life for older people by creating a chance to socialise, try out activities and make friends.

The variety of activities on offer include singing and music, quizzes, gentle exercise, dance and arts and crafts.

Sarah Talbot, Community Connections Manager for Age UK Bath & North East Somerset, said: “We are delighted to have been visited by members of the Theatre Royal Bath’s panto cast.

“Their visit served as a wonderful reminder of the joy and magic that can be sparked through laughter and connection.

“Our Social Groups in Bath & North East Somerset play a vital role in keeping the older community connected, offering enjoyable activities, friendship, and a hot lunch, as well as transport to and from the groups.

“We currently have available spaces in our Midsomer Norton, Bath, and Keynsham groups. If you are interested in finding out more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”

Social Groups are run across the area and have transport to and from the venues.
