A team of eight amateur cyclists from local accountancy firm Milsted Langdon recently swapped their smart suits and shoes for cycling shorts and trainers to complete a 90-mile bike ride for charity.
The team, made up of a cross-section of staff, have raised more than £3,000 by touring the firm’s offices across the South West by bike, starting at Bristol then visiting Bath, Yeovil and finishing in Taunton, in aid of Bristol-based charity St Peter’s Hospice.
Jackie Berry, part of the team who took part in the long distance event, said: “We are all really proud of ourselves for tackling this ride head-on and for raising so much money for St Peter’s Hospice.
“It was very challenging for most of us – especially climbing the rolling hills, but the cheers from our colleagues along the way helped to spur us on.”
Jonathan Langdon, Chairman of Milsted Langdon, said: “We are all very proud of our riders for taking the time out and completing the 90-mile ride for St Peter’s Hospice.
“I would like to thank them very much for their achievement and representing our firm in such a fantastic way.”
This latest ride is part of the firm’s year of fundraising to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
So far the team at Milsted Langdon have managed to raise over £14,000 by taking part in a number of initiatives throughout 2018.
