More than 70 young people across the area have been nominated for Bath and North East Somerset’s Our Young Stars Awards, ahead of a special awards dinner next March.

The awards will recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of extraordinary young people in Bath & North East Somerset.

Nominations closed at the end of November and a panel of judges are now in the process of selecting the finalists and winners who will be invited to a Gala Awards Dinner on 9th March 2019.

Bath & North East Somerset Council Leader, Tim Warren said: “The response to our appeal for nominations has been amazing.

“I have read through all the entries and it is clear we have some incredible, courageous and selfless young people in our midst who have remarkable stories to tell – it’s going to be a very tough job to select the winners.

“I am personally really looking forward to the awards night which will give us the opportunity to celebrate some of the incredible young people who live in Bath and North East Somerset.”
