Following requests from local residents, Bath & North East Somerset Council says funding has been secured to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Durley Lane in Keynsham.
Durley Lane is said to be “heavily used” by larger vehicles accessing the industrial units. The current speed limit is 40mph
There are several bends with poor forward visibility, and very few passing places.
The 20mph speed limit will start from the junction with Durley Hill and extend for just over half a kilometre.
The council says that the proposed lower speed limit will improve road safety for all road users.
