The 4th Annual Keynsham Spring Show will be taking place on Saturday 28th March.

Organised by the town council, it will be held at Keynsham Scout HQ and Keynsham Girlguiding HQ at Ashton Way in the town centre.

There are 16 trophies to be won across more than 100 classes, including horticulture, cooking, preserves, and arts and crafts, with a children’s section to encourage young people to get involved.

Deputy town clerk Katherine Sears said: “It has been incredible to see how the Keynsham Spring Show has grown over the past four years; the number of classes have now doubled, and it has captured a real depth of skills and expertise from our community.

“The variety of interest continues to bring people together, and it’s exciting to see the show is developing as a great day out for the whole family.”

The show will take place from noon to 4.30pm. As well as competitive exhibits, there will be an Easter bonnet competition, free face painting and a pets’ corner.

There will also be inspiring talks from local experts. Kevin O’Neill will be giving an insight into keeping bees and why they are vital to our countryside. Peter Smithers will talk about his life as an entomologist, while Jake from The Loaf Shack Bakery, who is a regular at Keynsham Farmers’ Market, will be explaining how the business started and what is involved in the life of a baker.

A schedule with entry form can be downloaded from the town council’s website – https://tinyurl.com/2j6kyjnp.

The deadline for entries is Wednesday 25th March. Exhibits can be taken to the Scout HQ on either Friday 27th March from 5pm to 7pm or on Saturday 28th March between 8am and 10am.

This year’s show is sponsored by Smart Computers, Redfern Osteopaths, Savour Kitchen and Farm Shop, Keynsham Photo Centre, The Old Bank, Bargain Booze, WW Memorials, FDC Law, Muse Dental, Rose Holistic Therapies, Wild About Flowers and Perfect Fit.
