Local gifting company Wild & Wolf has been presented with The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2018 trophy at an awards ceremony in Bath.
The ceremony was held at Wild & Wolf’s headquarters on Manvers Street on the 23rd of October.
HM Lord Lieutenant, Mrs. Anne Maw, and Deputy Lieutenant Edward Bayntun-Coward were both in attendance to present Wild & Wolf with the official glass trophy.
The original announcement was made earlier this year on Saturday 21st April by Her Majesty The Queen, on her 92nd birthday.
This was initially recognised with a royal reception for Queen’s Award winners held at Buckingham Palace in the summer, that was attended by Wild & Wolf’s James Portman, Commercial Director and John Scarman, Export Sales Manager.
Portman and Scarman were also in attendance at the awards ceremony, with CEO Paul Taylor accepting the trophy on behalf of the business.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are one of the UK’s most respected business awards. Judged solely on merit, the awards acknowledge and celebrate business excellence across the UK.
First instigated by Royal Warrant in 1965, and now in their 52nd year, the esteemed Queen’s Awards for Enterprise have a long history of recognising exceptional UK businesses.
Wild & Wolf has been recognised for its excellence in International Trade, demonstrating substantial international growth in overseas earnings and commercial success within its sector.
It is one of 238 organisations nationwide to be presented with the prestigious accolade.
Paul Taylor, CEO at Wild & Wolf said: “We were delighted to welcome the HM Lord Lieutenant, Mrs. Anne Maw and Deputy Lieutenant Edward Bayntun-Coward to Wild & Wolf this morning.
“The presentation of this prestigious accolade was a fantastic opportunity for the Wild & Wolf team to reflect on this tremendous achievement. It was a privilege to introduce the HM Lord Lieutenant and Deputy Lieutenant to our talented team, and to our design led gifts and lifestyle products.
“It is a real honour that our international sales growth has been officially recognised with such a respected award”.
HM Lord Lieutenant, Mrs. Anne Maw, said: “Out of the many entries that The Queen’s Awards receive each year, only a small number are selected for recognition, so you should all be very pleased as this is a significant achievement.”
