There are plans for a new wedding venue in the centre of Bath.

House of St John’s at No.1 Queen Square in Bath
A planning application has been submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council to change the use of House of St John’s at 1 Queen Square so it is licensed for weddings.
The proposal has been lodged by St John’s Foundation for “occasional use” of the premises for small wedding ceremonies, similar to a register office, while maintaining the current use of the building as flexible office space.
The Grade I listed building was recently restored as luxury service workspace.
Wedding ceremonies would be limited to Saturdays only, between 10am and 6pm.
The application says: “The proposed wedding ceremonies will be very modest, there is no intention to host reception or other related types of post-ceremony celebrations.”
The planning reference is 24/02602/FUL. The deadline for comments is 15th August.
