Gieves & Hawkes is returning to Bath with a new store due to open in Broad Street.

Gieves & Hawkes will be opening on Broad Street soon

Independent women’s clothing company Busby & Fox is also opening a shop in the street.

However, Broad Street has lost an established business with tile and paint retailer Fire Earth closing its doors after being placed into administration on 31st October.

All the company’s stores have closed, with the loss of 133 jobs.

Fired Earth went into administration earlier this month

Royal tailors since 1789, Gieves & Hawkes has stores in London, Winchester, Birmingham, Chester and Leeds and used to have a store in Old Bond Street in Bath.

The new store is next to the Broad Street entrance to Shires Yard.

Busby & Fox is moving into premises next to the former King Edward’s School.

The company already has stores in Cirencester, Marlborough, Henley-on-Thames and Farnham, as well as four in Devon and one in Cornwall.
