The Mulberry Park development in Bath, which is transforming a former Ministry of Defence site into much-needed new homes, has passed a key milestone in construction.

Bellway has now reached the halfway stage at Mulberry Park in Combe Down, where it is building 276 new homes, a mix of two-bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses.

Bellway’s new homes are part of a wider new neighbourhood on the site, which is being developed with housing association and housebuilder Curo.

Sales Manager for Bellway South West, Rachel Way, said: “We are delighted to have reached the halfway mark at Mulberry Park. It has been rewarding to watch the development taking shape on land that is so important to the local area and its heritage.

“As a five-star builder, Bellway is committed to building homes local buyers are looking for and we have worked hard alongside our partners Curo to ensure that Mulberry Park offers this.

“This new development will not only bring much-needed housing to the area, but with significant contributions to the community, it will help to deliver improvements to infrastructure and facilities that will benefit local people for years to come.”

A choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes are available to buy at Mulberry Park, with prices starting from £340,000.
