The latest milestone has been reached at a new state-of-the-art 80-bed care home located on Frome Road in Bath, which will provide residential, nursing and dementia care.
The site’s construction team were joined by Hallmark Care Homes’ Chair Avnish Goyal, MP for Bath Wera Hobhouse and the Mayor of Bath Councillor June Player to mark the next stage of the build.
As part of the special event, a stone block was pointed and a special commemorative plaque unveiled.
The £16million Midford Manor Care Home is being built by Savista Developments on a 1.6-acre site at Frome Road, next to the Sainsbury’s supermarket.
Facilities will include a cafe, a cinema and hairdressing salon and therapy room.

“Midford Manor Care Home will provide residents with a place where they feel safe and supported to live an active and fulfilled life.
“Our caring and dedicated teams, will be provided with on-going training and support and much thought and consideration has gone into the design of this beautiful new home.”
Bath MP Wera Hobhouse added: “It was a real pleasure to join the Hallmark Care Homes team celebrating a new milestone at Midford Manor in Odd Down. Hallmark Care Homes’ promises to bring a lot of caring expertise to Bath especially in dementia care.
“It is obvious how much thought has gone into the planning and building of the new facility and I am looking forward to seeing it open later in the year.”
