Staff at one of Bath’s leading private home care companies shared some festive cheer by organising a Christmas party for their clients and families.
Butterfly, which has teams of carers working across the city, held a Christmas tea party for clients, family members and guests earlier this month to thank them for their support and to give them a chance to meet each other.
Ben Wicks, Butterfly’s business development and facilities manager, said “We were thrilled to have the opportunity to help our clients in a different way by inviting them to take part in a social opportunity.
“Many don’t have the confidence, or are unable to venture out. We held the Christmas celebration in the Moravian Church in Bath which has a lovely big hall and where my grandfather was a minister for 40 years.”
Members of staff volunteered to provide lifts for those who needed it, while company director, Anne Pelling and our operations manager, Michele Bodman made the food.
Christmas was celebrated with good food, a lively singsong, bingo and music.
Ben said: ‘It was a great opportunity for us to celebrate with our clients, their families and our colleagues.”
Lyn Staples, a Butterfly client, said: “It was such a lovely afternoon, we had such a great time.”
Butterfly has been providing quality home care and support for more than eight years.
