Bath & North East Somerset Council recently approved the change of use of Maidan House at Old Mills, Paulton, from a plant equipment hire facility to self-storage use.

Cinch Self Storage, which has locations in other parts of the country, is taking over the site, which had been vacant since May 2023.

The new outside storage units are proposed on areas of hardstanding to the north and east of the building and will provide a total of 140 square metres of additional space. The plans also include landscaping.

The site is on the Old Mills Industrial Estate and is south of the A362 and west of the access road shared with Tesco.

The planning reference is 25/04068/FUL and the deadline for comments is 12th November.
