A second attempt is being made to turn Keynsham office accommodation into housing.

The offices in Keynsham

Mace Systems Ltd previously sought prior approval to turn Wellsway House at 9 Wellsway into four homes but in January 2024 Bath & North East Somerset Council refused the application, saying there would not be adequate natural light in all habitable rooms.

Keynsham Town Council had objected to the proposal, saying small office space should be retained in this “employment nucleus” of Keynsham.

The latest prior approval request is to change the office into a single house.

The planning reference is 25/02867/CDCOU. The deadline for comments is 29th August.
