Plans to increase bedrooms at Twerton HMO are approved

Plans to increase a house in multiple occupation (HMO) in Twerton from five to six bedrooms by adding a rear extension have been approved.

The application for 17 Cleeve Green was submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council by Kidwood Ltd.

The seven-metre-long single-storey extension will have a flat roof.

Council planners said that although the design and location of the proposed extension is “unusual”, there is a block of flat-roofed garages next to the site so it will not look out of keeping with the area.

Initial plans to change the use of the three-bed semi-detached property to a five-bed HMO were permitted back in 2020.
