Plans to convert an unused part of a new lettings office at Newbridge in Bath into a two-bed flat have been submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council.

The premises on Newbridge Road in Bath

The application says that the premises, formerly Andrews Estate Agents at 43 Newbridge Road, have just been purchased by Bath Student Rentals Associates Ltd for their letting agency business.

Along with the existing commercial unit on the ground floor, there is a two-bed flat on the lower ground floor.

The new flat would be spread over the first and loft floors.

A supporting statement says the location is “highly sustainable” with multiple amenities within walking distance and very good public transport links.

On this basis, one car parking space is proposed for the commercial unit, one for the new flat and one for the existing flat, in addition to storage for six bikes.

The planning reference is 24/02549/FUL. The deadline for comments is 15th August.
