A new enquiry handling and booking service for Bath has been launched to boost MICE (Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conferences and Events) business to Bath and the surrounding area.

Bath Venue Finder is an online service which allows corporate event organisers to search for a choice of venues in the destination that meet their requirements.

Bathvenuefinder.co.uk is supported by a hotline which is overseen by established, local venue finding agency Brief2Event.

The dedicated team help organisers to choose the right venue and assist with event and itinerary planning.

The new website provides a quick and easy service with comprehensive details on Visit Bath member venues and services. All organisers, both direct bookers and agencies, are being invited to use the service.

Gaynor Thomas, Visit Bath’s Business Tourism Coordinator, said: “Visit Bath aims to attract more corporate events from the MICE market, both from UK and overseas, and our steering group of local venues recognised the need to provide a service to support event organisers.

“Previously organisers had to contact individual businesses to seek availability – we are now offering a central facility which is geared up to address their needs. As a result of the new service we expect to see significant growth in the business tourism sector”.

Guy Mason, Managing Director of Brief2Event, said: “I am delighted to be able to bring Brief2Event’s expertise and industry knowledge to this brand-new service.

“Our team’s local product knowledge will undoubtedly help to promote the area to corporate event organisers as the place to host a successful event.”

Bath’s international profile as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and spa city will be promoted in the MICE market along with its excellent range of historic and contemporary facilities.

The city offers a wide range of ideas for itinerary planning based upon its cultural events, world-class heritage, exclusive facilities and activities.
