Carter Jonas has secured two new industrial lettings totalling just under 15,000 sq ft at The Maltings Industrial Estate on Brassmill Lane in Bath, reinforcing the strength of the industrial market in the region.

The Unit 2 extending to 7,324 sq ft has been Let to Topps Tiles and Unit 3 extending to 7,574 sqft has been let to Edmundson Electrical.

Carter Jonas acted on behalf of Roper Rhodes, who had previously used the two units for storage purposes and Huw Thomas of Huw Thomas Commercial acted on behalf of Standard Life.

Topps Tiles, represented by Andy Smallman of Macarthur Wilson, has been looking for new premises in Bath for a number of years while Edmundson Electrical was looking to expand its Bath based site, so these two industrial units will provide the ideal solution for both businesses.

The two new companies, will sit alongside the well-established Tool Station making The Maltings Industrial Estate now home to a trio of trade counters.

Both units comprise industrial warehouse space and office areas. A circulation area is also available to the front of both units with 12 dedicated parking spaces to each unit.

Alison Williams, Associate Partner at Carter Jonas, said: “Space at The Maltings Industrial Estate is very much in-demand from businesses based in and around Bath, and it is testament to the strength of the market that they were snatched up so quickly.

“It is also fortunate and timely that these two units became available when they did as they fulfil the requirements of both businesses and we’re sure they will allow them to continue to flourish and grow in the region.”

Warren Bester, Property Acquisitions Manager, Topps Tiles, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer our Topps Tiles expertise to local homeowners and trade professionals in Bath & the wider area.

“At Topps Tiles we pride ourselves on the design advice and technical support that we provide our customers, from the speed and reliability of our home delivery service, through to our in-store inspiration station and sample service.

“We are looking forward to inspiring DIY enthusiasts to embrace the latest tile trends while ensuring that traders have access to our top quality products at a competitive price through our dedicated Topps Tiles trade accounts.

“Trade professionals can sign up in-store for exclusive Topps Tiles trade membership, offering access to a wide range of benefits, including specialist advice, competitive trade discounts and quick and easy ways to purchase Topps Tiles’ comprehensive range of tools and products both in-store and online.”

The Maltings Industrial Estate is one of the primary employment areas of the city, located approximately two miles west of Bath city centre.
