The Claremont, formally known as the Rising Sun, in Bath has reopened its doors following a £380,000 investment by pub owners, Punch Taverns.
The new look pub has undergone a huge transformation, with a full redecoration inside and out.
Works included all new furnishing and fixed seating, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere with plenty of space for customers.
Using reclaimed timber to create seating booths and high tables, the outside area has also been completely overhauled creating a space which can be used all year round.
The pub will be operated by new publicans, Daniel and Simona Matica. Daniel and Simona moved to Bath from Weymouth and have experience in hospitality having formally owned their own American Diner.
Daniel said: “We are excited about being here at The Claremont. The pub looks fantastic, it has a really cool vibe and is certain to appeal to everyone in the area.
“We can’t wait to get going and have lots of plans to bring this pub back to the heart of the community.”
The pub will have a range of drinks on offer including cask, craft, no and low alcohol beers and Simona is also excited about launching a gin and cocktail menu.
The Claremont will trial a new, quality pizza offer by Barrel and Stone, who Punch have partnered with to help give pubs with limited kitchen space the opportunity to provide a quality food offer, which is simple and effective.
Following the relaunch, Punch Development Manager, Daniel Oakford said: “We are extremely pleased with the new look pub that has been created here and have every confidence that The Claremont will soon become the place to be!
“Daniel and Simona have some great ideas and we look forward to working with them as they build their pub business.”
