Work is currently underway ahead of the store opening on Friday 11th February. The new site will have a focus on vinyl, with 3,600 different vinyl albums on offer.

In addition, the shop will stock 2,700 different CDs, 3,750 films and TV shows on DVD and 4K HD Blu Ray, as well as over 2,100 pop culture products and 200 different t-shirt designs.

Customers in Bath will be able to take advantage of various in-store offers on opening day, including two-for-£40 vinyl, deals on Anniversary Albums and BRIT Award winners, as well as savings across technology with up to half price on selected headphones and turntables.

Bath shoppers can also use the “hmv delivers” service, which allows customers to order any items not available in-store to be delivered directly to their homes.

The new store is expected to draw signings and performances from British and international artists, as well as grassroots local bands.

Paul Thrussell, Store Manager, said: “We’re excited to open our brand-new Bath store on Milsom street, offering the best in entertainment across music, film and TV.

“We can’t wait to open our doors later this month and welcome back our customers with fantastic offers.”

Phil Halliday, hmv Managing Director, said: “hmv has a long history of offering signings and performances from amazing artists and bands in its stores, and we’re looking forward to bringing some incredible fan events to Bath soon.”

The store’s address is 17/18 Milsom Street, Bath, BA1 1DB. It will be open Monday – Saturday, 9am – 6pm, and 11am – 5pm on Sundays.
