The Roman Baths Shop in Bath will celebrate Museum Shop Sunday on 25th November 2018, with costumed Roman characters, product samples, and a fun and festive atmosphere.

Each Christmas the Roman Baths Shop delights and surprises as a local shopping destination, presenting a carefully curated collection of decorations for the home and stylish gifts inspired by the Roman and Georgian history of Bath.

On Museum Shop Sunday, friendly Roman characters Rusonia and Peregrinus will entertain shoppers with stories of their lives in Aquae Sulis, and there will be a chance to sample a selection of goods made by local and artisanal producers, from warming honey mead to hedgerow-foraged preserves.

Penny Jenkins, Commercial Manager for Heritage Services at Bath & North East Somerset Council, said: “We are delighted to be taking part in Museum Shop Sunday again this year.

“The Roman Baths Shop is a vibrant part of Bath’s shopping mix, and we hope that shoppers will enjoy meeting Rusonia and Peregrinus, and selecting from the range of distinctive gifts, beautiful Christmas decorations and locally-made products.”

More than 100 UK venues are participating in Museum Shop Sunday 2018, along with more than 600 venues across 10 countries worldwide. Museum Shop Sunday is supported by the Association for Cultural Enterprises.
