Formerly known as the Approach Golf Course, the 12-hole and 18-hole parkland golf course closed during the pandemic and remained shut until spring 2023.
Future Golf Ventures Ltd won the tender to manage the land in late 2022.
Since 2023, the company has managed the course and redesigned it to help enhance the golfing experience.
The 12-hole footgolf course, which has been open throughout the winter, continues to draw large numbers of visitors.
By combining elements of golf and football, footgolf offers an accessible and enjoyable option for people of all ages and abilities.
The Bath MP was given a tour of the site by Roger Maliphant, director of Future Golf Ventures, in a golf buggy and grabbed a club to tee off the 2025 season.
Commenting on the importance of maintaining the open space, MP Wera Hobhouse said: “Courses like this are such a wonderful community asset- it’s so important we help ensure they remain thriving and accessible to all for generations to come.
“The Royal Victoria Park Golf & Footgolf course offers a variety of activities that are accessible and fun, not to mention the benefits to our physical and mental health.
“I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy our green spaces this season, whether that’s through a round of golf or a fun game of footgolf.
“Whether you’re teeing off or kicking off, the course offers something for everyone!”
Roger Maliphant, Director of Future Golf Ventures, added: “The golf course is undergoing a significant redesign of its 18-hole layout which will make the course more engaging and challenging for players at all skill levels.
“The new 12-hole footgolf course has been open all through the winter and is proving to be popular with visitors- combining elements of golf and football, it provides a fun and accessible activity for all ages.
“It was great to show Wera around the course and the innovative changes we are making to maximise its benefit for the community.”
