Bath-based chartered accountancy practice Milsted Langdon is celebrating the addition of another prestigious industry award to its collection.
The firm was announced as winner of Tolley’s Taxation Awards 2016 Best Tax Practice in a Regional Firm at the recent London Hilton prize-giving ceremony.
Milsted Langdon was one of just five UK accountancy practices to have been shortlisted in the category.
The award bid demonstrated Milsted Langdon’s consistently high quality taxation services and technical strength, which convinced the judging panel that Milsted Langdon was the most deserving of the firms to have been shortlisted.
Milsted Langdon deals with all taxation matters including personal and corporate tax advice and planning, property tax advice, research and development tax relief, share scheme planning and VAT and Stamp Duty advice from its offices in Taunton, Bristol, Bath and Yeovil and employs approximately 200 staff.
Tax Partner Rob Chedzoy commented: “Having been shortlisted for the award in 2011 and 2013, we are absolutely delighted to have won the Tolley Taxation Award in 2016. This is a testament to the commitment and hard work of the entire tax team.
“We were up against some very strong national competition, and it was great to have been recognised in this way by the judging panel, which included some of the biggest names in the profession.
“We are particularly grateful to our clients for their confidence and trust in Milsted Langdon’s tax practice – their support and testimonials played a big part in securing our nomination.”
The awards were presented by Gyles Brandreth, the writer, broadcaster and former Conservative MP, well known for his appearances on QI and Have I Got News for You.
In addition to its critically acclaimed taxation services, the firm provides pragmatic and commercially focused accounting, corporate finance and insolvency advice to business and individual clients, with a particular focus on owner-managed businesses.
The Tolley Taxation Best Tax Practice in a Regional Firm 2016 award follows numerous recent accolades for Milsted Langdon, which enjoys the distinction of being the only UK firm ever to have won the Best Large Practice in the AccountingWEB Practice Excellence Awards three times.
