Lovehoney employs approximately 300 employees at the site in Newbridge and said in its application that the need had arisen to extend to accommodate a more efficient distribution service to help ensure future growth.

There will be no increase in staff numbers at the site and parking provision will remain unaffected as a result of the single-storey extension.

Bath & North East Somerset Council planners said as the proposal is a “modest” extension to an existing business and will not overbear or overshadow the rear gardens of nearby properties which share a boundary with the commercial building.
