Local residents are being invited to view and comment on plans for new homes to the west of Sulis Manor at Odd Down in Bath during a public consultation event to be held at Saint Gregory’s Catholic College on 1st November.

The Hignett Family Trust and Bloor Homes undertook a series of public consultation events in 2014 and 2015 to brief the local community on the constraints and opportunities of the site and seek feedback on its master planning.

After careful consideration of the consultation responses and a thorough understanding of the policy context of the site and its surroundings, the group have now decided to progress a Detailed Planning Application for an initial phase of up to 180 homes, which will be supported at the public consultation by a host of technical and environmental evidence.

The Hignett Family Trust and Bloor Homes have advertised the latest consultation event to nearly 4,000 local addresses in the area, which will allow residents and stakeholders to view, discuss and comment on the draft proposals for this first phase.

Everyone is welcome to come along and take a look at the proposals and members of the project team will be available to answer any questions.

The plans will be displayed in the Atrium, Saint Gregory’s Catholic College, Combe Hay Lane on Tuesday 1st November.

Local residents are encouraged to drop in at any time between 2pm and 7.30pm to find out more.

Mark Mitchard, Strategic Land Director from Bloor Homes said: “This exhibition gives local people the chance to see how their feedback has influenced our master planning proposals and to comment upon the detailed proposals for new homes.

“We are keen to continue to consult with local people and encourage residents to pass their comments and ideas to us as we prepare a planning application to be ready to submit by early 2017.”

Details and plans will also be displayed on the dedicated website from 1st November at www.sulisdown.com.

Residents with comments or questions can get in touch with the project team by calling 0800 148 8911, or by emailing – [email protected].
