Housing association Knightstone has been awarded gold accreditation against the Investors in People Standard, demonstrating a commitment to high performance through good people management.

Knightstone is one of the largest providers of affordable housing in Somerset and the West of England, committed to building vibrant, stable and safe communities where people can make their homes.

The housing provider delivers services to over 23,000 people in 12,000 homes, employs 400 people and builds around 300 new affordable homes for rent and sale every year.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results.

Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.

Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.

Nick Horne, Chief Executive at Knightstone, said: “We’re delighted to be awarded the Gold accolade by Investors in People. As a business committed to investing in our communities and our people, we’re proud to be recognised for the strength of our leadership practices and our people management culture.

“Within our organisation we’re moving away from our traditional ways of doing things, and innovating to improve efficiency, value for money and customer service quality.

“At the heart of this are our values of empathy, professionalism, integrity and commitment demonstrated by how we lead and manage our business every day.”

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Knightstone; Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success. The business should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
