Prospective home-owners can now benefit from the government’s Help to Buy scheme to secure a classically-designed house at Holburne Park, the new residential neighbourhood being created in Bath.
Offering financial support for people wanting to get onto the property ladder, the Equity Help to Buy scheme offers buyers a government loan of up to 20% of the cost of the property so people only need to raise a 5% cash deposit and take out a 75% mortgage.
The government loan is interest and fee-free for the first five years of owning the home.
This new support, recently secured for Holburne Park, is expected to increase interest in the already popular development, where 75% of the homes in the first phase have already been sold.
The Help to Buy scheme is available on the ‘Beckford’ three-bedroom, mid terrace homes which offer modern, mews-style living with beautiful architectural features and generous living spaces.
The meticulously-designed homes benefit from an open plan kitchen diner, a terrace leading out to the garden, two designated parking spaces in front of the property, a Bath stone facade and natural slate roof.
Holburne Park is set in a secluded location below Warminster Road, with its grounds bordering the picturesque Kennet and Avon Canal.
Vicky Dudbridge, a director at Savills said: “We are delighted to have secured this vital financial support from the government’s Help to Buy scheme.
“We are enormously proud of the heritage design, craftsmanship, and community feel that makes Holburne Park such a special place to live.
“Taking part in the Help to Buy scheme will help bring these beautiful homes within the reach of more young families and young professionals ensuring a vibrant and mixed community alongside other buyers, including newly retiring downsizers.”
Two of the major attractions of Holburne Park are its location, within 15 minutes easy strolling distance of central Bath, yet close to the open countryside, and the fact it provides a rare opportunity to own a brand new, classically-designed home in Bath.
A newly opened, fully-furnished show home offers prospective buyers the chance to see and feel the uniquely classical design and features of the homes, which are fully fitted out and equipped for modern living.
Robert Adam, whose firm designed the Duchy of Cornwall’s Poundbury in Dorset, is the acclaimed architect who has created the homes at Holburne Park, whilst the interiors have been designed by luxury interior designers Sims Hilditch, renowned for their fresh take on the English country house look.
There are currently just four 3-bedroom Beckford homes remaining for sale at Holburne Park, starting from £545,000. Also available are 4-bedroom Coates three-storey town houses, starting at £955,000.
