A founding partner of Bath-based Epoch Wealth Management has been included in a list of the UK’s top 250 independent financial advisers published in The Sunday Times.

Markas Gilmartin, who has more than 20 years’ industry experience as a financial planner, is featured in the prestigious list which is based on positive reviews from the independent consumer website VouchedFor.co.uk.

Dr Gilmartin received a total of 26 positive reviews for his expert advice on investments and pensions, achieving an average score of 4.6 stars out of 5. This is the latest in a series of accolades for Epoch and its staff.

The firm was recently named South West Adviser of the Year for the second time by New Model Adviser. Epoch has also been awarded Accredited Financial Planning Firm status by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP), now the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

“I’m extremely proud to be included among the UK’s top 250 IFAs,” said Dr Gilmartin. “The rankings are based on positive feedback from satisfied clients which makes them especially important. I’m grateful to everyone who took the trouble to write a review.

“They provide independent recognition of the very high standards of financial planning advice that clients receive to help them achieve their life goals.

“But providing a first-class service is a team effort so some of the credit should go to my professional colleagues at Epoch.”
