Bath engineering firm Horstman Defence Systems Ltd has submitted a retrospective planning application for work carried out at its premises at The Maltings Industrial Estate at Newbridge.
The engineering business’s head office is at Locksbrook Road in Bath, and it also has a lease on Units 5 and 6 at the industrial estate.
The planning application says that the units were used for storage but the company is now leasing a storage facility in Bristol so has adapted them to deliver some of the operations originally based at Locksbrook Road.
Two ventilation grilles and an air conditioning unit were installed at the side and rear of the building earlier this year as part of a wider package of works to create an internal mezzanine office.
The application submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council says the grilles and unit will not produce any noise or air pollution and are in a discreet location.
The planning reference is 24/04350/FUL. The deadline for comments is 24th December.
