Deliveroo, the on-demand food delivery company, is celebrating its second birthday in Bath, with new data revealing Saturday is the most popular day for locals residents to use the service.

Further data has shown locals love to enjoy Mexican food the most, followed by American and Thai.

The most popular dishes include:

  • Chicken Tinga Burrito – Mission Burrito

  • Beef Burger – Gourmet Burger Kitchen

  • Chicken Pad Thai – Koh Thai Tapas

  • Hot Wings – KFC

  • Pulled Pork- Grillstock

Since its launch in the city two years ago, more than 80 restaurants have signed up to Deliveroo. Work for more than 200 people has been created for locals, with the majority of these being the Deliveroo riders who deliver your food which is cooked fresh to order and delivered to your door within 30 minutes.

Deliveroo supports local Bath businesses, with 75 percent of its restaurant partners being local independent restaurants, creating new revenue streams for homegrown culinary talent. In 2016 Deliveroo created £200m in additional revenue for the restaurant industry in the UK.

A spokesperson for Deliveroo, said: “After two years of delivering hundreds of thousands of meals across Bath, we’ve learnt a thing or two about what locals like to eat, like how locals can’t get enough of Mexican food!

“We’re proud to support so many of the very best local restaurants in the city alongside national favourites too. It’s been truly amazing to hear stories about how local restaurants have been able to expand their businesses to other areas because of the additional revenue Deliveroo is generating for them.

“We will continue to provide the best service possible for our Bath customers, riders and restaurant partners as we grow.”

Restaurant Manager at Pies and Puds, said: “Partnering with Deliveroo has been a great way for us to service both new and existing customers across Bath.

“We’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with Deliveroo and serving our delicious pies to even more locals in Bath.”

Deliveroo is focused on providing the ultimate food delivery experience. Customers have the option to schedule orders via the Deliveroo app up to one day in advance or receive food as soon as possible between 12 noon and 11pm, and from 9am on the weekends, from a variety of leading local, independent and best-loved chain restaurants, conveniently delivered to their homes and offices.
